Gilphor’s Horde Leveling Journal – 1st Day
Hi, I’m Gilphor and this will be my Horde Leveling Journal from 1 to 85, following Zygor Horde leveling guide. I decided to use this leveling guide, to give it a try, test it out and see if it is as fast as people say on the Internet.
I am going to start a new character on a new server – Gilphor, to see how it will go with no additional help, items or gold. I also have to inform you that I’m not exactly one of the World of Warcraft pros, I consider myself an average player. I only have one other maximum level character, unlike my crazy brother, which already has about 8 or 9.
I decided to play a Blood-Elf Paladin, on the Outland server.
As I enter the members area, the guides for both Horde and Alliance are there, but there are also plenty of bonus guides which I’m going to try a little bit later.
There are two ways to install this guide, but since I’m not exactly the best with programs, I’m going for the automatic client install. This will also put a Zygor updater on icon on your desktop. So far so good, this Zygor’s guide looks like a professional Horde leveling guide.
So…
A new Paladin is born. Here I am as Gilphor. Since I haven’t used a leveling guide for World of Warcraft before, relying only on the one in game, I have to admit, Zygor Horde leveling guide is quite sweet so far. Reminds me a little bit of the Winamp interface, very easy to use. Really love the green dot that points me to the quest that is always better to do next.
A few tips here, in case you’re going to use it too as a leveling tool:
- You should disable the quest tracker and replace it with Zygor guide;
- You should always keep the guide open for 2 or 3 steps, to see what’s next;
When I reached Silvermoon, I picked up Herbalism and Mining because I really need all the gold I can get my hands on, on this new server. Also, I have to mention here that as I finished with the intro Blood Elf zone, Zygor guide mentioned that I should be level 12, yet I was already 13.5 due to these gathering professions. So, at least for the leveling of a character, in my opinion it’s best to go for these two WoW professions for the extra XP. You can always drop one later on.
When Zygor guide took me to the new Silverpine Forest I almost threw up laughing at the quest “Steel Thunder”. Not gonna spoil your fun here, you’ll have to do it yourself to see what’s about.
So, I end my first session in this Horde leveling journal. I decided to call it a day after 6 hours played, at level 17 and 15 lines. I could have probably gotten a much better time, but I always like to role play a little bit.
